Raptor Watch 2020

Raptor Watch

Raptor Watch 2020 is flying back to the shores of Tanjung Tuan!  It will be held from 14-15 March 2020 (Saturday & Sunday) at the Tanjung Tuan Forest Reserve. Malaysian Nature Society has thrilled many thousands of the public, educated many hundreds of school children in understanding nature and captivated the imagination of many birds watchers.

Due to overwhelming support, this year Raptor Watch will be held for 2 days as well. Staple favorite activities including guided walks/arts & craft/games will be featured, but don’t forget to visit the main stars of the event – our majestic raptors who will be circling around the iconic Cape Rachado lighthouse at the top of the hill! What started as a few enthusiasts getting together – has now become the largest environmental event in Malaysia. Please stay tuned as we will continue to update you with more info!!!

Why is it only Saturday this year …? Unlike previous years it’s always been the full weekend.

    1. mnscomms says:

Hi Elizabeth, the one year event has been done for the past year and this year. As this is a funded event, it has been a challenge to raise funds to run an event of this magnitude. However, we also believe that a one day event is good enough and we have received a lot of positive feedback on this, but you are free to visit Tanjung Tuan to see the raptors during their migration period 🙂
